Let’s celebrate the end of our sixth (!!!) season growing and sharing together!
We’re holding a fundraiser for the Farm’s Community Shares program Wednesday, November 11 at Night School in Athens. Just a few weeks away! What can you expect at the event? Pizza and drink specials with produce from our farm partners. Music by local artists. Raffle prizes from Casa Susanna, The Maker Hotel, and Pocketbook Hudson. New Community Farm merch (it’s time to get printing!). And as always, lots of good conversation with all our farmers, neighbors, and volunteers.
As a reminder, Community Shares purchases produce and dairy from Greene County farms for year round deliveries to local pantries, allowing us to keep the farm in Athens a dedicated 24/7 free u-pick for our neighbors. Over the past few years, we expanded our weekly deliveries of no-cost produce and local dairy to include pantries farther out in the County through the Greene County Food Security Coalition. We are hoping to increase our impact in both funding and food shared this season. Come hang out and help us continue providing fair prices for farmers and fresh food for those that need it.
