July Work Day: Sun 7/27 11-1 PM!

It’s been a hot summer so far and while we may be sweating our way through these humid afternoons, the plants love it! Our summer favs like cucumbers, eggplant, tomatoes and more are thriving with the warm days – thanks to in bed irrigation (high fives to Catie and Tyler!) and everyone that stops by to pick veggies. That said, plants can always use some care. Along with the bountiful crops comes an abundance of… you guessed it, weeds. Let’s clean up our beds and pathways, tune up trellises, finish sign painting, and plant some fall crops!

Can’t make it this time? Don’t worry! We’ll have plenty more work days this season. Keep an eye here or on our social pages for more info and reach out to athenscommunityfarm[at]gmail.com with any questions!
